In the Canary Islands, the book fair has had much fewer visitors than the large crowds that came to the ship in West Africa. The book fair staff has been taking advantage of less work by sending out teams to promote the ship. They wear bright orange life jackets as a way of attracting attention.

Logos II received a letter from Pastor Emmanuel in Sierra Leone, thanking them for their help in setting up a small sewing business in his home. The ship provided two new sewing machines, cutting tables, stools, scissors and other sewing tools, fabric and a used generator to provide electricity for lighting in the evening.
