One of the conferences held onboard Logos II in Douala focused on the role of the church in fighting against AIDS. The purpose of the conference was to challenge pastors to set an example in preventing AIDS and handling the consequences of the disease.

Events like the International Festival require a large amount of ‘behind the scenes’ work. Sari Kaatja (Finland), Tina Reiner (Germany) and Linda Bokinge (Sweden) were three of many people that helped with the organising.

The International Festival took place on 4 February in Douala. Approximately 60 crewmembers presented their culture and faith to almost 1,000 local people.
